Android 4 (人造人間 4 号-Homunkurusu 4-gō) was the 5th Android creation (4th numerically since the creation of Android 0) of Dr. Gero (assisted by Dr. Flappe) and part of the 1st generation of Red Ribbon prototype androids, that being 1-8. Android 4 was designed to serve the Red Ribbon Army but was seen as mostly a failure because of a few debilitating flaws.
Appearance[]
Like most of the 1st generation of Androids, Android 4 was not humanoid in appearance but rather more robotic. Android 4 is obviously modeled after a Dinosaur. Android 4 is very large, with a height of about 6 ft, and is mostly beige in color with soft tone. Its dinosaur like appearance also can be intimidating to some who have a fear of them. A large dark gold and shiny helmet covers the top of it's head which seems to be very hard because of its armor. It's optic is located in the lower brim of the helmet and is cycloptic with a red tint on the glass. The number 4 is engraved in the helmet in the front along wit the Red Ribbon symbol being engraved higher up. There are 2 vents in each lower side of the helmet that appear to vent out steam. Android 4 has 2 smaller arms that are oval shaped and are two parts of each arm and attach to hand claws. The legs are large and round and have 2 rings in the center that glows dark red. Its lower legs are oval shaped and attach to its feet. Its feet are brown and gigantic and appeared to be sharp near its toes which are 3. Its body is spherical with the tail attached that is very flexible and tough with 4 ridges on it.
Personality[]
Android 4 can be very aggressive, but that aggression is stemmed from the android's desire to hunt and ambush opponents or "prey" rather than to engage in combat. It prefers solitude and does not like to be cornered or confined. Once cornered it attacks and can attack fatally. Android 4 likes to eat and is one of the only two androids that can consume and convert it into energy without having any waste. Android 4 also seems to have a lot of energy which it uses for its speed for running which it also likes to do. Android 4 can run for days without any sign of tiring. Killing humans for no reason or for pleasure isn't on its mind, for it would rather hunt them for sport or food. If the android deemed them worthy, 4 will free it's prey after the hunt. But, while Android 4 likes to run, Android 4's biggest pleasure and priority in life is to hunt. It thinks mostly of nothing else but hunting. Whatever prey it deems worthy it will hunt. Especially if it sees that's the being has any sort of adept skill. Android 4 also likes to keep skulls of its prey as a momentum, whether it be humanoid or other androids. Android 4 will spare some prey if that prey gives it a good hunt. With beings it likes however it will appear to act more dog like and affectionate with rolling around on them or lick them. It's voice is moderate pitched with a raspy Australian accent with robotic sound.

Creation[]

According to the special "Memoirs of a Madman", Android 4 was originally a failed secret weapon The Red Ribbon Army tried to develop before Dr. Gero joined. Gero seen the deactivated droid just laying there in a scrap pile when he arrived at the lab but ignored it for a time seeing as it didn't seem useful to him aside for spare parts if needed. After the failure of Android 3, Gero was having another creative block. A week went by and after finding out that the secret weapon Red Ribbon was a secret weapon from Dr. Flappe, who had heard that from one of the generals, Gero seen potential especially after learning about its capabilities. Given the original plans from that same general, Gero and Flappe brainstormed for a few hours. They seen that the speed and efficiency of the old model stood out so they redesigned the plans specifically for speed and speed for attacking, while also having some power to it. After construction and modification it was time to program it. Programming seemed to be effective and then it was time for testing. Android 4 passed the battle demonstration with flying colors. After battle testing, Gero wanted to do field testing. When outdoors Android 4 would wander off never to be seen for days at a time though always coming back with a prey of some kind which, at first impressed Gero, but over time Gero got annoyed. Gero would get even more annoyed at the fact that the android would act like a dog with Dr. Flappe because of Flappe's gentile nature. After being frustrated of trying to call the android back to no avail, Gero attempted more programing which also failed. So Gero came up with a plan to use Android 4 as an assassin, which actually seemed to work. Gero proposed the idea to the generals of the Red Ribbon Army but the idea was met with mostly negative responses and was told that they are conducting full force/head on military conquest and would have no need to use assassination's at this time. Also the fact that it was sort of disobedient didn't help much either. Much to his dismay, Gero decided it had no practical use for him at the time and shut it down but didn't scrap it as he though the android might be useful for other things in the future or if the generals changed their minds.
Red Ribbon Revenge[]
In the special "Red Ribbon Revenge", Pan and Bulla were exploring the ruins of an abandoned base. They, however, were not aware of the abandoned base being the Red Ribbon Army's and re-activated the scrapped androids created by Dr. Gero. Androids 1-7 were re-activated when Bulla accidently elbowed the activation switch after being scared by a giant cockroach while failing to find a cell phone signal. Android 4 was the 4th android to be activated. After Pan, Bulla and Android 7 disabled Androids 2 and 3, Android 4 and Android 5 ambushed them and engaged in combat and was then disabled by Bulla and Android 7. After Android 7 tried to talk the other androids into not fighting, Android 4 scoffs and charges at 7 and a fight ensues and after a semi lengthily battle, Pan arrives with Android 1 and they help Android 7 and as the battle is continuing, Bulla uses Android 0's ability to shutdown all the androids via the main computer and they send a EMP wave that disables all the androids including Android 7. Fearing Android 7 was destroyed because they couldn't find a way to re-activate it, Pan and Bulla finally find a cell phone signal and then call Bulma and explain to her what happened and ask her if she can help escort Android 7 to their house to turn him back on. After hours of trying, Bulma was eventually successful at turning Android 7 back on. After Android 7 thanked her for turning it back on Bulma told it that she should be thanking him for saving Bull and Pan and it was the least she can do. Android 7 then asked he if she was wiling to do more for him as he wanted the other Androids to be turned back on and have their programing changed to being similar to Android 7's own since he considered the other androids family and didnt want to abandon them like Gero did. Bulma agrees since she sees it might be a fun challenge and said she also vowed years ago to undo everything that creep Dr. Gero has done anyway to prove her superiority. After reprograming most of the androids except 1 and 0, Bulma decided to upgrade them and keep them at Capsule Corp as most of them were animal like and Dr.Brief grew quite fond of them and Bulla wanted to keep Android 1 as a doll for tea parties much to the androids dismay. As for Android 4, Bulma decided to use the android as a personal security guard for Capsule Corp as she thought they would need something like that around whenever Vegeta and/or Trunks weren't around. Android 4 was shown to be given arms by Bulma and seems to be close to them especially to Goku, Gohan and Icarus and often stay over at their house with them. Surprisingly is also very close to Vegeta as they both enjoy the hunt.
Power & Flaws[]
Android 4 has a power level of 150 with that mostly being from its incredible speed and physical power. In terms of fire power however, Android 4 has only the ability to shoot laser beams out of its optic and mouth. Its charge seems to be very high though as it doesn't run out of battery life after running for too long though it does not seem to have unlimited energy. Android 4's armor seems to be pretty tough as it takes damage rather well. Its armor also seems to get stronger when being in the sun which Dr. Gero does not know how or why that is possible. Perhaps it's biggest flaw is the lack of fire power (Before Bulmas upgrade). Also, with its bigger feet, it seems harder for it to maneuver around while fighting. Like all of the prototype 1st generation androids, Its lack of martial arts abilities also seems to be a flaw since it mostly relied on its ramming (while at this point Gero didn't have the forethought to add martial arts to any of the 1st generation androids programming seeing as it was a military conquest the Red Ribbon Army was doing). Android 4 uses two finishers called "Dino Food" and "Ballistic Bullet Bomb". Android 4 uses Dino Food by eating opponent. Android 4 uses Ballistic Bullet Bomb by running very fast and hits opponent with such force that creates a big explosion. Bulma's upgrades made Android 4's power level go from 150 to 150,000,000 (much to Vegeta's dismay) and added a plethora of techniques and abilities to the androids arsenal. Android 4 also has a hypothetical super form, Super Android 4.

- Tail Whip: Android 4 whips its tail at opponent.
- Shredder: Android 4 whips its sharp tail ridges at opponent.
- Ambush: Android 4 sneaks up and ambushes opponent.

- Mouth Beam: Android 4 can shoot beam out of Mouth.
- The Deer Hunter: Android 4's abilities and speed get enhanced at if the opponent puts up a good fight.
