"I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. I've encountered countless battles, and at times, I forget their impact. Yet, each battle is a fresh challenge for me, so I encourage you to give it your all and not hold back. For I am Banrot, the eldest of the Shujin race." |
Banrot (バンロット Banrotto), or simply known as Ban (バン) by his brothers, is an immensely powerful warrior and a member of the original Saiyan Masters trio, also known as the Shujins, originating from the Resurge Universe. He symbolizes the element of Water and Nature. As the eldest and wisest of the trio, he carries the Pearl Orb.
Banrot's destiny was determined as an internal illness gradually debilitated the formidable warrior. His brother Sha asserts that if it hadn't been for this ailment, Banrot would have ascended to become the most powerful Shujin in history.
Story[]
Banrot was the first Shujin created under the Mystical Orbs by the Unknown Shujin Father. As such, he was the eldest of the original brotherly trio, before Sha and Levinz. As a youngling, Banrot was very calm and kind to many people, always wanted to enjoy hanging out in the forests and going to the sea. However, his father was not the one to applaud this behavior, since a Shujin warrior must have a ruthless and a merciless spirit. Banrot continued to ignore his father and tried to persuade the path towards a stronger and respectful warrior. During his coming of age, he discovered that he has a natural ability to use water as his "weapon", by using a telekinesis skill that allows him to lift an entire sea. After reach his adult age, unlike his brothers, Banrot kept a very serene, calm and pacifist attitude towards life and even in battle.
Part I: Legend of the Saiyan Masters[]
Although Banrot was destined to greatness and to become a Budha-like fighter, resorting to moves that did not cause too much pain to his foes (unless it should be really necessary), his fate was sealed when he discovered that he carried an internal illness that, for each year that passed, grew and caused further damage to his body internally. Banrot decided not to let his brothers know about the illness, and he kept it a secret for many years. However, after accidentally coughing some blood, Sha immediately recognized the main cause of such an illness and found out about how Banrot was slowly dying. Banrot, however, stated that he will not back down just yet, instead leaving the illness to slowly kill him while still training himself to the fullest.
For about a century, Banrot was destined to become the leader, due to his acknowledgement of most situations and to his philosophy, but, eventually, he thought that the position of leader should be passed to someone without an illness and with a more ruthless spirit but merciful warrior, thus giving Sha's position as leader. Banrot saved Sha and Levinz in most situations, and he's considered a valuable member to be reckoned with. Being the wisest one, he was the one who helped both Sha and Levinz mature. He was the one who taught his younger brothers about the Interblend, the fusion of three powerful Shujins into a mighty and unbeatable warrior. This was a crucial key to defeating the Ice Shujin Zyn and True Nightmare Sebox.
Part III: A Swallow's Deception[]
Although not the main protagonist, Banrot nonetheless played an integral part in Part III of Dragon Ball Resurrection. After the Saiyan fighter Metro was possessed by the Ice Shujin spiritual manifestation, turning him into the Ice-Deity, Banrot aided in cleansing Metro's soul from the Ice Shujin with his Purification ability. This allowed the Saiyan to turn back to normal and fight one-on-one with Emperor Dajjal, the self-proclaimed 'Emperor of Saiyans', who kidnapped Metro's daughter and teased her into forced marriage. Banrot took no part in this fight, however.
Part IV: The Resurge[]
Several years passed, and Banrot was in top physical and psychological shape. He trained a young Sebox and helped Levinz train Sendra, both of them becoming Shujin warriors and gaining their own mythical orbs, respectively. Ironically, both Sebox and Sendra turned evil and used their Shujin powers for their own wicked desires. Sebox wanting to control the universe, and Sendra wanting to exact revenge on the Shujins for attempting to banish her (though it was only Sha who tried). After managing to defeat Sebox many years ago, Sendra's outcome was different.
As Banrot's sickness was getting even more fatal, Sendra attacked an almost-dead Banrot. Non-intentionally, she killed Banrot after striking him with a simple ki-infused punch and stunning him with a fate distortion. Sha arrived to try and save Banrot, but it was already too late. As Banrot was dying, his last words to Sha were that he should've believed him about Sendra, but she can still be turned to the good side. Apologizing to Sha because of his unwanted illness and wishing him good luck in his future, he died in his brother's arms.
Personality and Appearance[]
Banrot's personal views on life resemble those of Budha: pacifism and tranquility. Banrot was the wisest of the Shujin trio, as well as the one with more experience in the art of battle. Being a pacifist himself, Banrot thought that fighting was never the answer to settling things between people and that friendly and respectful comprehension was always the main choice. However, when Banrot has no choice but to enter battle, his fighting style, the Master Sattva Fist (主人 衆生 拳 Shujin Shujō Ken), uses his peaceful mind to perform graceful yet deadly strikes on his foes. Being a very compassionate man, Banrot has never meant to hurt his enemies, much less destroy them. Hence, his fighting style is considered to be, as stated by Banrot himself, a "fist of emptiness": his attacks and abilities aim to immobilize his enemies to the point of their internal muscles breaking down while feeling no pain whatsoever. His ultimate attack, the Light of Fate, strikes an enemy with such a peaceful force that the foe does not feel anything but only observes his soul and body disappear into nothingness.
Banrot wears a green and purple fighting Gi, accessorized with a black belt and grey wristbands and pants. His dark hair, styled upward like his brother Sha's, is complemented by a green headband. Additionally, he has a scar over his left eye, likely a result of a past battle.
Power and Abilities[]
Just like all Shujins, Banrot's base power level could rival that of a Super Saiyan 3. After a whole century of training, Banrot's power increased exponentially while perfecting his martial art. Sha believed that Banrot would have rightfully been the leader of the Shujin trio, if not for his illness. This suggested that Banrot possessed all the mental and physical prowess needed to become the most formidable Shujin in history.
Banrot is an expert in the Shujin Shujõ Ken, a martial art he created by integrating principles from Tai Chi and Baguazhang. This style enables him to execute fluid, elegant attacks that target and rupture his opponent's inner muscles with minimal pain, effectively immobilizing them and rendering them incapable of continuing the fight. If an enemy persists despite his warnings, Banrot is compelled to sacrifice some of his own power to seal their fists. Here are some abilities performed by Banrot:
- Flight;
- Full Power Energy Wave (Green colored);
- Full Power Energy Ball;
- Shujin Shield - Banrot uses a portion of his Ki to create a shield that envelops his entire body, providing protection against both physical and Ki attacks.
- Explosive Wave
- Sea Strike - Maintaining perfect balance, Banrot charges at his opponent with his hands clenched to his right side. In a swift motion, he opens his arms and aims to strike his opponent's face with both palms. As he does this, he channels his energy towards his opponent's eyes. If executed correctly, the attack could result in temporary blindness.
- Shujin Spirit.
- Seal Of Truth - When his opponent remains unyielding, Banrot is forced to execute this maneuver. Raising his left hand high, he swiftly brings it down in a semicircular slash aimed at his adversary's fists. His hand glides through them like a specter, and moments later, his foe's fists emit a massive shockwave, shattering them instantly. The adversary is then rendered incapable of using their fists for further attacks.
- Painless Bind - Banrot strikes his foe with a rapid ki shot that pierces and stuns him to a nearby object or person.
- Circle Of Life - Banrot rushes at the speed of light around his foe. This rush will create several afterimages of himself that will encircle the opponent, all extending their right fists and aiming at different parts of his opponent's body.
- Flight Of Serenity - Banrot leaps high into the air. As he descends headfirst, he delivers a series of rapid, powerful strikes in midair, covering a wide area and hitting all enemies within range.
- Light of Fate - Banrot's ultimate technique. It generates a massive white light in the sky, infused with his own Shujin Ki and the essence of every living being throughout the galaxy. This light will strike his opponent, causing a powerful impact upon contact and erasing their existence.
