Exo-Tuffles
(エクソ-ツフル人; Ekuso-Tsufuru-jin) or sometimes referred to as New Dawn Tuffles are a variant branch native to Universe 7 of Timeline 202166125. In this universe the Tuffles won in their conflict against the Saiyans, becoming the dominant race of Planet Plant. Similar to the Saiyans of the Original Timeline the Exo-Tuffles would eventually go on to work for the Planet Trade Organization.

Overview[]

Appearance[]

Exo-Tuffles maintain a strong resemblance to their ancestral forms but are, on average, slightly taller than their original counterparts. All Tuffles seem to possess a "waviness" to their hair, almost counter to the Saiyans commonly seen "sharp" hair styles. The diversity in their hair color is striking, with variations ranging from green to red. Exclusive to the Royal Bloodline are the hair colors white, grey, and silver. Likewise, the Royal family is distinguished by golden eyes with pupils, while the rest of the race have entirely black eyes.

The average build of an Exo-Tuffle is very lean with few exhibiting any excessive body fat or muscle mass. In their later years, the Tuffles of this universe will begin exhibiting a transition from clear white skin to a yellow or sometimes blue hue; the exact transition varies from individual to individual.

Homeworld

The Tuffles of this universe have continued to reside on their original homeworld, Planet Plant. However, they don't all reside here as their empire has expanded into the universe. This makes it very common to find an Exo-Tuffle even on the edge of the universe.

History[]

Pre-Saiyan Arrival[]

Before the Saiyan arrival, the Tuffles were a peaceful species, lacking any aggressive tendencies despite their advanced technology. Unlike other advanced races, they maintained total peace on their planet, resolving minor conflicts through civil means rather than resorting to war. This tranquility allowed them to flourish technologically, making them one of the smartest civilizations in the universe. However, their pacifistic nature meant they were unarmed, leaving them vulnerable to any hostile race seeking to exploit the seemingly weak-bodies species.

Post-Saiyan Arrival[]

Upon the arrival of the Saiyans, the Tuffles extended a warm welcome, embracing them as their new neighbors. Although some Tuffles harbored skepticism towards the Saiyans' true intentions, a notable scientist known as Dr. Lychee being amongst them, however, due to the lack of evidence they were unable to gain any traction in their movement. The Tuffles permitted the Saiyans to settle in designated regions of Planet Plant. Despite the Tuffles' generous hospitality, the Saiyans were driven by insatiable greed. Behind closed doors, they harbored secret ambitions to subjugate the planet and eliminate the Tuffle race, viewing them as a weak and insignificant species.

As time progressed, the Saiyan population surged rapidly. What began as a small Saiyan tribe expanded into a formidable force numbering in the hundreds. Initially, the Saiyans approached the Tuffles with caution, but as their numbers swelled, their interactions became increasingly assertive. Soon, the Saiyans began demanding ever-increasing territories, access to forests, and even livestock. While the Tuffles attempted to accommodate these requests, they were not naive enough to believe that the situation would end peacefully. Consequently, an official assault was launched, shattering the Tuffles' long-cherished era of peace.

War with the Saiyans[]

As war spread across the planet, the Tuffles faced a challenging situation due to the Saiyans' superior power and brute strength. However, thanks to Dr. Lychee's foresight and preparations, the Tuffles managed to minimize severe losses in the initial attack. Without his planning, they would have been significantly weakened.

Eventually, a Saiyan warlord emerged as a prominent figure among the warring tribes. Dr. Lychee once described this warlord as possessing "the cunning of a Tuffle." This Saiyan later declared himself King Vegeta, who in Age 720 launched a ruthless campaign against the Tuffles, aiming to eliminate them and claim Planet Plant for the Saiyan race. Although the Saiyans possessed immense physical power, they were outnumbered by the Tuffle population. The war resulted in a stalemate, as the Tuffles utilized their technological advancements to counteract the Saiyans' brute force. Advanced energy weapons, defensive barriers, and predictive combat algorithms enabled the Tuffles to maintain their position.

As time went on, the Saiyans seemed to grow stronger after each conflict, a fact not lost on Dr. Lychee. He began studying the anatomy of deceased Saiyans, hoping to find the key to defeating them through their biology. After extensive examination, Dr. Lychee reached a startling conclusion: the Saiyans had been effectively bred for war, a race that grew more powerful with each conflict, both during and after.

While this was alarming enough, Dr. Lychee made two further discoveries, one of which he believed even the Saiyans were unaware of.

First, he found an undeniable correlation between the Saiyans' tails and the phases of the moon. While nothing significant had yet occurred, he observed that the Saiyan tails absorbed vast amounts of energy, known as Blutz Waves, with each passing night. He theorized that on the night of the Full Moon, the peak of Blutz Wave dispersal, the Saiyans could harness this energy, using it to their advantage. To counter this, he initiated the Blutz Wave Dampening Project, aiming to stop the Saiyans from harnessing power during the lunar event.

Second, he discovered unique cells in the Saiyans' bloodstream. These cells were not designed to carry oxygen but rather Ki. This discovery was the most concerning to Dr. Lychee. After numerous simulations, he concluded that once a certain threshold was reached, these "S-Cells" would fully activate, allowing Saiyans to generate, channel, and use Ki to a dangerous degree. While the Saiyans might not immediately be able to use this power, if they ever learned how to harness it, the destruction of the Tuffle race would be all but assured. In response, Dr. Lychee initiated his final countermeasure: The Harvester Program.

Full Moon Event[]

King Vegeta, anticipating the Full Moon, deployed his forces across the planet, intending to eliminate the Tuffles in a single night. However, the Tuffles were prepared. Dr. Lychee had anticipated the threat and developed a planetary defense grid that disrupted the Oozaru transformation by refracting moonlight. The Saiyans became disoriented, unable to transform, and vulnerable. The Tuffles exploited this, using Ki-Blasters against their enemies. Despite the Tuffles' preparations, the Saiyans fought relentlessly, even when close to death. King Vegeta, though initially thrown off, realized the Tuffles were responsible for the transformation disruption and searched for the heavily fortified area, where the device blocking the Blutz Waves was likely located. The Tuffles fought bravely, but the Saiyan Royal family was too strong, destroying the machine. The remaining Saiyans, exposed to the moon's rays, transformed into Oozaru, causing terror among the Tuffles. The Saiyans began their rampage.

The King, certain of victory, was caught off guard by a golden flash, staggering from the recoil. Looking around, he was struck again by a blinding golden light. Realizing it was projectiles, the Saiyan King looked in the distance, sensing a new, strange power. He could not believe what he saw: standing atop an unstable building was a man, the King of the Tuffles.

In the shadows of the battlefield, Tuffle scientists began a desperate and ethically fraught initiative: The Harvester Program. Dr. Lychee and his team had developed a serum that, when injected into a Tuffle host, would temporarily unlock a Super Saiyan-like state: golden energy, heightened strength, and a battle instinct previously foreign to their kind. The process was volatile, but the Tuffle King volunteered to be the first subject. While it was a marvelous break threw it was not without its limitations. Unlike a true Saiyan the Tuffle body is incapable of maintaining the S-Cells for extended periods of time. While the initial injecting of the serum would result in an empowered state the power would be fleeting, lasting only roughly 90 seconds before the S-Cells became neutralized in their bloodstream.

In order to counteract this Dr. Lychee devised the Tech-Pack- a biomechanical harness forged from numerous alloys and embedded with six S-Cell Cartridges, each harvested from Elite Saiyan captives. and was mounted onto the Kings spine. The tech-pack’s limitation was absolute: only six injections could be administered before the system overheated. This meant the King had a nine-minute window to defeat his opponent — no second chances, no fallback.

King Vs. King[]

In the ruins of the capital, the two monarchs clashed: the Saiyan King in his towering Oozaru form, and the Tuffle King, human-sized but blazing with power. The Tuffle’s movements were precise, his strikes amplified by both intellect and raw might. He exploited the Oozaru’s blind spots, using aerial mobility and energy manipulation to wear the beast down. The Tuffle King's strategy was a calculated dance of offense and defense, he didn't have time to slowly wear his enemy down, he needed to end this quickly. His agility allowed him to maneuver around the Saiyan King’s massive frame, picking apart his defenses with well-timed attacks. With the Ki Blaster at his helm he fired powerful and well timed attacks, seemingly effective against the Oozaru's thick hide. This initial phase of the battle showcased a fascinating contrast: while the Tuffle King was new this foreign power his intellect made up for it on the battlefield whereas the Saiyan King, who had never been challenged before on equal footing struggled to counter this new threat.

Ninety seconds later, the second cartridge fired as pain spread throughout his nervous system. The King's aura stabilized, wrapping him in a radiant shell of energy. He could now fly with precision, his energy blasts cutting through the battlefield like no weapon ever conceived by Tuffle minds. Engaging the Saiyan King directly, he dodged massive fists and retaliated with bursts of Ki from his blaster. The pain was mounting, but his mind remained clear.

The third injection hit like a thunderclap. Time seemed to slow. The King could see the trajectory of every incoming blow, every twitch of muscle in the Oozaru’s limbs. He exploited this clarity, targeting joints, eyes, and pressure points with devastating accuracy. However, the cost was steep. His arms trembled, blood vessels ruptured beneath his skin. He coughed crimson into his hand. The tech-pack pulsed ominously. He had three doses left—and the Saiyan King was far from finished. The King knew that he had to finish this quickly. He could feel his body giving out, but he couldn't afford to give up. With renewed focus, he prepared for the final confrontation.

The fourth cartridge unleashed a storm. The King’s aura flared violently, his voice distorted by the energy coursing through him. He matched the Oozaru’s strength blow for blow, his golden form a blur against the beast’s towering frame. His skin began to crackle, energy bleeding from his very pores. Every movement was agony, but he refused to falter. He was the last hope of the Tuffle race, and he would not die without seeing his people's efforts brought to fruition. If this power was the culmination of his people's efforts, then he would ensure that it would be enough to bring peace.

The fifth injection forced a spasm through his nervous system leading to the accidental crushing to the Tuffle Kings' Ki Blaster, rendering his most effective offensive output to broken bits in his hand. However, this wouldn't stop him, he wouldn allow it, while basic in nature the Tuffle King wrapped his fists in energy before continuing the assault on his enemy. Aiming for where the Saiyan King had already been damaged the Tuffle Kings drove his fist deep into the open wounds of the Oozaru, forcing the beast to howl in pain. Despite his resolve he couldn't deny one crucel fact; his body was failing—internal bleeding, fractured ribs, and a tech-pack on the verge of meltdown. In a moment of forced hesitation the Saiyan King landed a brutal counter-strike, sending the Tuffle King skidding across the ruins. But the King rose again, eyes blazing, one final cartridge remaining.

The sixth injection tore through the Tuffle King’s body in a way he could only describe as a Solar Flare. His veins pulsed with golden light, his aura erupted into a storm of radiant arcs, and his scream echoed across the ruins — a fusion of agony and resolve. His body was nearing collapse, but his spirit surged beyond its limits. Across the field, the Oozaru Saiyan King roared in defiance. His primal instincts fused with unbridled rage, and from his gaping maw he began charging a concentrated beam of energy — a violet inferno laced with raw hatred. The Tuffle King responded instantly, channeling every ounce of his S-Cell-enhanced power into a focused golden blast, aiming with both palms. In an instant the two kings fired, collided mid-air, forming a blinding surge of energy that shook the sky.

Both kings leaned into the clash, their feet digging into shattered stone, their bodies trembling under the strain. Any second now, the power stolen from the Saiyans would leave the Tuffle King. Knowing this, he dug deeper, and whatever power he had left, be it his own or otherwise, it didn't matter. What he needed was the strength to save his people. In one last-ditch effort, the Tuffle King modified his blast, changing it from a wide blast similar to King Vegeta's to a more concentrated beam. With this alteration, the Tuffle King's power tore through the countering beam, piercing the Saiyan King's heart.

The Oozaru staggered, roared, and collapsed — his transformation unraveling, his reign ended. The Tuffle King fell to one knee, his tech-pack molten, his body broken. And as the last vestige of power left the Tuffle King he couldn't help but smile as he succumbed to his injuries.

With the fall of King Vegeta and the moon beginning to set just over the horizon the remaining Saiyans scattered across the lands. Finally bringing an end to the nights blood shed.

Intelligence[]

The intelligence of these beings is not to be underestimated. While their original counterparts were also intelligent this iteration has gone beyond what even they've accomplished in this timeline. A most important technological advancement of theirs being the Blutz Wave Disruptor, a device made crucial in their war against the Saiyans. This would begin a turn in their history, creating weapons that wield the power of Blutz Waves Radiation, an irony the Tuffles found more befitting the fall of the Saiyans.
