"I don't know how I got this power, and I don't care. All I know is that I'm gonna use every bit of it to crush you here and now!" Yamcha ~ Dragon Ball Oblivion

Hyper Human - is an advanced transformation featured in the fan-fiction story, Dragon Ball Super: The Lone Wolf saga. It utilized by Humans, primarily Yamcha, who have been exposed to the enhancement serum created by Dr. Lychee. Though the transformations do not occur naturally in Humans, it can also be obtained by using the dragon balls, as the enhancement serum's main function is to fully heighten the latent potential within a being. Due to it's appearance, the form is also known as Terran mode, a reference to the home-world of humankind.

While Hyper Human is a term generally referring to the initial transformation, it is also used to reference three other transformations, or modes, which succeed the first one. Similar to the first transformation, each of the following ones also have alternate names which represent some aspect of humanity. The first, or initial state, is known as Terran mode (or form), and represents humanity's earthly origins. The second state is known as Beast mode, and represents humanity's more primal being. The third state is known as Demon mode, and represents humanity's more darker aspects. The fourth, and final state is known as Spirit mode, and represents humanity's full potential, when their mind, body, and spirit function as one. Since it is a transformation, it can also be utilized in combination with other enhancement techniques, such as the Kaioken.

Transformation[]

This transformation bears a slight resemblance to that of the Heran transformation, being that it is derived from very same source, as the user's skin and hair color changes. Unlike the Heran transformation, which changes the user's skin color from teal to lime green, the Hyper Human transformation changes the user's skin color to a bronze color, resembling that of Earth's terrestrial surface. The user's hair and eyebrow color also changes, similar to that of a Heran (who's hair changes from orange to red), and changes from jet black to a deep grey, similar to that of Earth's moon. The one similarity both have, though, is that the user's muscle mass increases, similar to that of the Super Saiyan grade 2 form, or the use of the Expert Kaioken.

Overview[]

The first form of the series of Hyper Human transformations, this form is referred to as Terran mode, primarily by the Namekian warriors, Kagyu, Maima, and Tsumuri, as well as the Okurian Lupine and the Heran, Zangya. The name is derived from the universal name of Yamcha's home planet, Earth. It can be achieved through two ways, the first of which is through exposure to Heran DNA (blood, cells). Yamcha achieves the transformation through this method, though the means to activating it is still the same as those of the Heran race. This occurs after Yamcha is defeated and captured by the villain Bojack, at the behest of Coola's scientist, the Tuffle Dr. Lychee. As he was trying to secretly create the perfect being capable of getting revenge on the Saiyan race that was responsible for eradicating his people, Dr. Lychee suspected Human DNA as being the key to completing his creation.

Yamcha - Hyper Human 1st Form

While the Namekian warriors and the Okurian Lupine, were battling against the Heran, Bojack, Dr. Lychee was attempting to harvest Yamcha's DNA via draining his blood. Though he was thwarted by the combined efforts of Puar, and the Heran Zangya, who were able to free Yamcha before the scientist could fully drain his blood, the Human martial artist was left in a critically weakened condition. In order to help him, Zangya is able to use the super computer, Hatchiyak, to transfer some of her own blood to Yamcha in a desperate attempt to save his life. Her attempt is successful, and after consuming a senzu bean grown on Namek, Yamcha is able to recover. However, both are quickly confronted by Coola, who has grown impatient with the resistance to his invasion of New Namek.

After Coola shoots both Puar and Zangya with a death beam and death laser, respectively, killing the former and severely injuring the latter. Seeing this, Yamcha achieves this transformation for the first time, concentrating all of his ki in his desire to defeat the alien overlord. Zangya, upon seeing the transformation, remarks upon how human dna has revealed its ability to assimilate the abilities of other races, noting that he has achieved a Terran mode equivalent of the full powered Heran transformation. The transformation also displays a noticeable change in the user's mindset, as Yamcha goes from a courageous and confident warrior, to one who is singularly focused on conquering his opponent. Zangya later informs him that conquering an opponent is a trait unique to the Herans, and is what led to the eventual downfall of their race. A trait which Yamcha half-jokingly acknowledges sounds a lot like a Saiyan. However, this mindset seems only to manifest when the user transforms, as Yamcha doesn't have the same desire when in his base human form.

The second method of achieving this form is through the use of the dragon balls. Later on, before leaving New Namek to return to Earth, Yamcha is allowed to use the Namekian dragon balls one final time, one of the wishes he uses is to grant this transformation to all humans who possess the ability to utilize ki. This enables Krillin, #18, Tien & Chiaotzu to achieve the transformation as well, though when asked if the Namekians also would like the transformation, they refuse, citing that they prefer their natural abilities and that the Kaioken technique is more than enough.

Usage and Power[]

Yamcha - Terran mode

During his fight with Coola, Yamcha is able to fight on par with the alien overlord in his base form, even though the alien had consumed fruit from the Tree of Might. Acknowledging the human's strength, Coola later increases his strength and transforms into his secret fourth transformation, and is able to overwhelm the transformed human fighter. Yamcha is eventually able to counter this, however, by using the Expert Kaioken in conjunction with his new form. As he had just achieved the Hyper Human transformation, Yamcha briefly recognizes that he cannot sustain both forms for very long. However, his urge to conquer and defeat his opponent causes him to push those limits, enabling him to defeat his opponent, while nearly wrecking his body in the process. This transformation also effects Yamcha's ki signature, as the Namekians, the Okurian Lupine, and Bojack all initially view it as a strange ki, so much so that the Namekians & Lupine worry that Yamcha and Zangya have been overwhelmed, while Bojack questions where another Heran has come from.

This transformation can also be mastered and augmented, both of which Yamcha is able to achieve while training with the Sage of Sion. Upon returning to Earth, Yamcha's proficiency with this transformation is such that he is able to increase its ki output to that similar to a Super Saiyan grade 4, using it to fight against Goku's Super Saiyan transformation and astonishing all those present.
