The Mystic version increases base power level, strength, speed and senses, but much longer than a regular version. It gives the user a White aura, and muscle mass only slightly increases.
This move possesses no drawbacks of the original and can be maintained for long periods of time. It can also be used to speed up recovery from a battle and increase survival rate, all with no cost in Ki.

The best (and easiest, as explained by Johnny) way to gain access to the Mystic Kaio-Ken is by training the originall version extensively. It is not wise, according to Johnny, to simply keep increasing the multiplier on regular, as has his trainers in the past have (all9 of them are dead) but rather to train the first multiplier regularly.
