Planet Rewdesh (惑星 ルデシュ, Wakusei Rudeshu), the Eclipsed Saiyan homeworld is an exceptionally lush and fertile planet situated within the Central Sector of Universe 7. The planet features a natural gravity that is one hundred times greater than that of their ancestral planet, Planet Sadala. They arrived on Planet Rewdesh sometime after being separated from the remainder of their race. Upon their arrival, they began to evolve differently from other Saiyans, a phenomenon attributed to the number of surrounding celestial bodies.
Planet Description
Characteristics
Gravity & Topography
Rewdesh's exceptional gravity has sculpted the planet's surface into an environment of expansive plateaus and profound canyons. The unrelenting gravity has led to the disintegration of many potential rising mountains into extensive highlands, while the ocean floors display the effects of significant tectonic activity. Cratered basins serve as habitats for vibrant, bioluminescent swamps, and volcanic belts have transformed the part of the Western region into fiery, molten forges. This extreme gravitational force is the defining attribute of Rewdesh, influencing every rock and ridge of its distinctive terrain.
Despite the extreme gravitational pull, few mountains manage to endure, particularly around the equator. A combination of unusual phenomena allows the formation of vast, unique mountain ranges to rise. Similar to the oceans of Rewdesh these mountainous regions are zones of significant seismic activity, leading to the presence of active volcanoes and the potential creation of calderas. The unique geological features of Rewdesh create an environment that is both challenging and fascinating, showcasing the planet's resilience and the power of its natural forces. The constant state of geological upheaval ensures that the landscape is always changing, with new formations appearing and old ones being reshaped by the relentless forces at play. This dynamic environment contributes to the planet's overall biodiversity, supporting a wide array of life forms that have adapted to the harsh conditions.
Atmosphere & Climate
The atmosphere of Rewdesh contains trace charged particles, causing a shimmering effect under the influence of the planet's moons. Dense cloud formations trap significant amounts of heat, resulting in humid equatorial forests and harsh polar deserts. Frequent cyclonic storms originate around the magnetic poles, radiating raw planetary energy. Seasonal eclipse alignments moderate the weather, creating predictable monsoon cycles linked to the phases of the four primary moons.
Inhabitants
- Eclipsed Saiyans: The current major inhabitants of Rewdesh, hailing from Planet Sadala
- Colossal Fauna:
- Zephraloks - Serpentine sky leviathans that trail the planet's aurora across the mesosphere and thermosphere; some larger varieties are found in the exosphere, leading to the belief that they require minimal atmospheric oxygen. They fly by generating ki bursts beneath them; some even being noted to use these as devastating attacks when confronted
- Druvann Behemoths - Living mountain-herders characterized by a stone-plated exterior and glowing fault veins spanning their forms. Sporadically located across the equator, they are known to camouflage within the mountainous terrain. They possess the capability to reshape the landscape through the application of gravitational pulses, either augmenting or reconfiguring Rewdesh's established gravity.
- Mirrusk Titans - Invertedly jointed, insectoid colossi covered in reflective crystal shells are located within canyons and caves possessing abundant speleothems, as they consume mineral deposits. Their crystal-like shells, a result of this diet, are capable of reflecting and redirecting Ki attacks.
- Vraka Crawlers - Multi-legged burrowers that consume geothermal energy and detritus, effectively making them the bottom feeders of the ecosystem. Have been known to cause seismic disturbances when emerging. These creatures are vital to the Rewdesh ecosystem, playing a crucial role in nutrient cycling and maintaining the balance of the planet's unique environment. Their subterranean existence and energy consumption contribute to the planet's overall health, even though their emergence can occasionally disrupt the geological stability.
- Hollow Varn - Bioluminescent, floating, jelly-like organisms drift within the atmosphere. Originating from the planet's deep mantle, these creatures utilize the intense heat to breach their shells, instinctively ascending from their breeding grounds into the upper atmosphere. They are known to release spores that induce visual and auditory hallucinations. Primarily sustained by Rewdesh's planetary energy, they have also been observed to exploit vulnerable prey, resulting in exponential growth through consumption. (Partially inspired by the Ghasts from the well known game Minecraft)
- Eclipoths - Carnivorous forest stalkers, characterized by their segmented jaws, are native to the Ki-resistant forests of Rewdesh. Their predatory nature is enhanced by their remarkable ability to mimic the ambient energy signatures of their surroundings. This camouflage allows them to remain undetected by potential prey, and they cleverly utilize this same mimicry to lure unsuspecting creatures into deadly ambushes, showcasing their cunning and adaptability within their unique ecosystem.
- Selbrom Stags - These formidable, antlered apex predators are distinguished by their thick, protective fur and powerful, resonating hooves. Their unique physiology allows them to harness and concentrate kinetic energy from their surroundings; the thunderous impact of their hooves against the ground isn't merely a means of locomotion, but a crucial mechanism for collecting this energy, which is then meticulously stored within their impressive antlers. This stored energy culminates in a spectacular and devastating discharge, making the Selbrom Stags a fearsome and iconic part of Rewdesh's complex ecosystem.

- Vynorrians: Long before the Saiyans crash-landed on Rewdesh and transformed it into the cradle of the Eclipsed dynasty, the planet belonged to a race known as the Vynorrians—an ancient people whose spiritual link shaped the very fabric of the planet’s energy resonance. The Vynorrians were a civilization deeply connected to Rewdesh, understanding and harnessing its natural energies. Their presence left an indelible mark on the planet, influencing its atmosphere, terrain, and the very life that thrived within. Though their reign ended long ago, remnants of their influence may still linger, possibly explaining some of Rewdesh's unique features and the strange creatures that roam its surface. Perhaps the Vynorrians left behind knowledge or technologies that could be rediscovered, offering new insights into Rewdesh's mysteries and the potential for its future.
History
Pre-Eclipsed Dynasty
Limited information exists regarding Planet Rewdesh before the Saiyan arrival. Archaeological evidence, however, indicates the presence of an advanced civilization. This civilization, the Vynorrians, maintained a strong connection to the planet and its Colossal Fauna. The circumstances surrounding the Vynorrians' final days remain unknown; however, some speculate that an extinction event, termed "The Great Fracture," led to the demise of a pivotal figure within the planet's ecosystem.
Key Locations
Tempest Reach (Mountain Range)
- Eastern Tempest - Considered the mildest of the Tempest region; used as an initial training ground for new Saiyan recruits
- Western Tempest - As the closest to the ocean this region is known for having heavy monsoons during the shift between Spring and Summer; while generally not as windy as Central Tempest, Monsoon Season makes Western Tempest the highest peaks in comparison
- Central Tempest - The fiercest region with the most consistent high-level winds of the planet
- The Core of Remembrance - Located within a valley near Central Tempest; Surrounded by a massive spiral of air that masked its location to outsiders; Home to the powerful material known as Absoralium and once spiritual grounds of the lost race of Vynorrians
- Caldera Tempest - While not as windy as its counterparts the sheer volume of active volcanoes present a new factor, making this region arguably the most difficult to survive
Satellite Worlds
Rewdesh currently has forty-nine recognized moons with four of them possessing enough mass and vegetation to be considered hospitable to life; these four moons are known as Outer Worlds.
Shingetsu
Outer World belonging to the Council of Aspects.
Migetsu
Outer World and domain of the War Maidens.
