Master Ragus was born on the planet Rewdesh, the Eclipsed Saiyan Homeworld. He's one of the few beings capable of tempering Absoralium, known as a King Smith. Despite not being especially powerful, he isn't one to be taken lightly.

Appearance

Ragus has dark skin and a muscular build, as well as dark black hair and a goatee. His hair is always seen in dreadlocks, known for having two hanging in the front while the rest is combed back. On his left ear he has a single gold studded earring, he has wears this as a memory to his late wife who died in battle. As a Eclipsed Saiyan he also possesses the Twin-Tail moniker of his race, those tails being black in color.

He most often seen in his Smithing Attire which consists of a black tank top, leather shirt and pants, steel-toes boots, and a pair of leather gloves. When working he'll sometimes wear an apron, gold steampunk-style goggles, and a utility belt.

Personality

Ragus is a mellow soul, preferring to taking things slow and appreciates the small things in life. Due to his age and stubbornness he's sometimes been called Ol' Timely as he strays away from technology. He believes that nothing can beat hard work and dedication to the craft and that technology sullies the feeling of accomplishment. While old he may be, his ingenuity and quick wits aren't something to be contended against.

While he doesn't often show it, he is caring. After the passing of his wife he cut away from his emotions and drowned himself in his work as a means to cope, however, no matter how skilled he became he couldn't shake the hollowness he felt. This all changed when he encountered Nozuta. Her lively personality and determination to learn was able to rekindle his soul as he learned to care for her as if she were his own flesh and blood.

Biography

Ragus wasn't always the mellowed Saiyan he is today. In his youth he was foolhardy, getting into fights over anything and more often than not losing the battle. While Ragus had the fighting spirit, his power level was pitiful to say the least. He couldn't even reach the minimum requirement to become a Fighter Candidate, which meant that no matter how many times he attempted to become a warrior on the battlefield he would be turned down every time.

As one might imagine, this fact didn't bode well with his clan as he was expected to become a great fighter and join the war against the Seven Dragon Lords. Ragus was ridiculed for his lack of power and he couldn't be more ashamed for it all. Despite this he pushed forward, training himself to the breaking point and then some. However, no matter how hard he trained or who he trained under, the results were all the same. Eventually leading to his disownment, leaving him with no last name. Destiny had shown him his cards, but there was still one felt to play.

On Ragus' 7th attempt to join the war effort he happened upon a chance encounter, one that would reshape his life forever. Once again Ragus put forth his all and while his combat skills were satisfactory, his Ki Reserves weren't. Yet again he was to be turned down, however, there was something different this time around or rather someone. As Ragus was handed his failed score all he could do was stare sorrowfully at it but this didn't last long as someone intervened. He didn't exactly know who this Saiyan was but he knew that they were important as the instructor that was so cocky tensed up and began speaking formally. Suddenly, they turned towards him and he was finally able to taking in their appearance.

She was a rather short, being roughly 5'7" in height with a tan complexion and rugged jet black hair. Dressed in a basic training garb he could see the dirt and blood stained into her attire. At her side he saw a sword and while he couldn't make out any inscription he could tell a master craftsman had worked on it recently. After taking in her appearance, she spoke. It was soon made clear to Ragus that a deal had been struck between her and the instructor, a most unpleasant one for him to hear.

She would become his new mentor and be given another opportunity to try in 3 months time, but in exchange this would be the last time he attempted to enter the war. Ragus was angered by this, demanding to know just who the hell she thought she was to make such a call. And without batting an eye, she responded with a cocky grin:

"Auli, General of the 3rd Division, at your service."

Power

All his life Ragus was called weak and this didn't come unwarranted as even some children were easily able to best him in battle. His power at the time was only continental, and while that may be powerful in its own right it's nothing compared to the elite who boast power capable of eradicating entire galaxies. It was only when Ragus stopped pursuing power that he was finally able to achieve it.

Later in life, during a certain event Ragus was forced to protect what he loved the most and it was then that he finally achieved the Iwazaru transformation. His power sky rocketed, being able to contend against the elite what ridiculed him his whole life. While he still doesn't pursue power, he was finally able to achieve the goal he set out for himself all those years ago.

Iwazaru: Raging Soul

Old Souls Resolution

When defending Nozuta and Ruttsu from a Remnant Hoard, Ragus was pushed to the brink. By using his skills he was able to make up the difference in power for a while but that didn't last long. Taking on too much damage he was left in a defenseless state, unable to defend himself much less the other two Saiyans. Yet he pushed on, knowing that they still required more time to complete the Kodai. Thinking back to the memory of his late wife he knew that she would want him to push on, to defend those that needed it. It was here when he ascended. Unlike any Eclipsed Saiyan before him, Ragus had jumped straight into Iwazaru as his power rejuvenated and his power rose in magnitude.

In this form Ragus is 7'1" and possesses blackened fur. His eyes become violet with a black trim around the edges and his hair grows substantially. When compared to before he looks noticeably younger as the form brought him back to his prime, increasing the sharpness of his skills. Ragus' overall power, speed, agility, and reaction time increased to an unquantifiable amount before the form dissipated.
