Satsumo (サツモ) is the main protagonist of Dragon Ball Ikigai.

Appearance[]

Satsumo has lightly tanned skin with milk chocolate brown hair. He is quite tall at a height a bit above 6 foot. Satsumo has a strong jaw and intense glare. His eyes are normally a light brown close to an orange-ish hue. When angered, stressed, saddened, flustered, flattered, or embarrassed his eyes will turn or/and shine red based on which emotion. His hair is quite distinct to his race while keeping the common Modern Saiyan hairstyles. Satsumo has a lot of muscle mass but he’s not too bulky.

At an early age, Satsumo is most seen with a torn sheet of cloth that is wrapped to his body like a sash. He is forced to wear chains to hold him and because of his distinctiveness. In the beginning of his teen years, Satsumo wears a Galactic Patrol Officer uniform during his time exploring the universe. In his late teen through adulthood, Satsumo wears a red and black upper body Saiyan inspired armor wrapped in a red sash along with black gi pants. He wears a grey long sleeve compression tights under the armor. His boots and gloves are Saiyan inspired as well with custom changes made by himself. The colors of his boots and gloves are white with a red pattern, and have an elastic wrap to protect his wrists and ankles in combat. This armor also includes golden arm rings. Further into his adult years, Satsumo wears a custom made God of Destruction attire. The outfit is “Journey to the West” inspired clothing which has a red and tan colored fur animal pelt wrapped with a white sash. He has black with red striped arm sleeved gloves connected to Golden arm rings and golden G.O.D bracelets. He has black gi pants that are wrapped in red sashes. He wears black shoes. He also, wears a animal tan colored fur pelt above his shoulders connect to red cloth hanging past one shoulder and golden clips that creates a God of Destruction necklace. Satsumo wears a golden ring around his neck. He lastly, wears a golden God of Destruction earring/clip on his left ear.

Personality[]

Satsumo has a very distant or standoffish personality. He has a lack of trust to others unless he chooses to open up after a long while. Satsumo is naturally kind despite his hardships but is very strict with others. He is a people pleaser without being aware of it. Satsumo is very empathetic and wants to aid people because he wants people to have someone that’s there for them that he didn’t really get to have. Due to his trauma caused by Galcryi, he can get extremely angry with his situation and other very quickly. By watching Galcryi, he also built up a knack for impatience, controlling, and seeking validation. The trait of controlling causes him to get angry with people when they don’t even try to develop themselves after given help and he’s never really had control over his life so he tries to do it externally (him not being self-aware throughout most of his life) by having anger outbursts at the universe’s inhabitants to show them their wrongs which cause him to seek more power. Satsumo believes the choices he makes for others and the universe is for the greater good not knowing the restrictions he’s putting on himself and others.

Satsumo makes a lot of mistakes with people socially aside from him looking different from the rest of his race. Satsumo can be very emotional person at times in solitude or if he suddenly pops in public. He usually puts on an angry face or calm stoic demeanor to hide his pain and avoid people from approaching him. Later on down the line, he can starts to make jokes when stressed but he can still act like an ass. He can be very quick witted in his jokes and his fights which get people annoyed at him. The only self-awareness he has at this point is that he already knows the good points his personality has but hypocritically he avoids to build more on his bad points. Satsumo can be easily startled due to him being hyper vigilant to attack on instinct and to avoid anymore pain. Satsumo can also be quite judgmental on a few topics but not very many. He finds it hard to get the past out of his mind and it fuels him with more rage. Closer to the end of the story, he will finally confront himself and his decisions that changes him and his verdict on the choices he made throughout the story to bring about true change (internally).

Biography[]

Arc 1 - (Name TBD) Episodes 0-12 (13 episodes)[]

Episode 0- "Birth" (Placeholder)[]

Before Satsumo’s story begins, there’s a Saiyan woman named Ube that is carrying a child. The pregnancy is rather peculiar because it’s messing with her physically. Ube’s appearance is changing by morphing her ears, her hair starts to lengthen, the pigment of her hair starts becoming a dark reddish brown, sudden mild heat strokes, illness, her eyes become a red wine color, and her hormones begin to overwhelm her causing her to be depressed. Ube is in constant pain but strangely she can’t die, because somehow her body is being rebuilt as it’s being destroyed. Rumors are going around reporting a sighting of a strange morphing Saiyan causing the information to travel to the Royal Family. In order to figure out all the commotion in the lower ranks, The Saiyan King, King Vallaris sets out a few Saiyan troops. These Saiyan soldiers are sent to investigate and find out who this Saiyan is. Soon after, A Saiyan man named Yukon is rushing in the kingdom searching for medication and supplies with a very worried look on his face. The Saiyan troops follow this man. The troop finally spot a pregnant Saiyan Woman with long hair with red eyes. They have a stake out and report information to the Royal Palace. After a few months, the baby is finally coming. When the child is conceived, it appears to look like a very small monkey which shocks the Saiyan mother and father, including the troops. The Saiyan troops head back to the Palace and begin to give word to the King and Queen. Astonished while believing an abomination has been born, King Vallaris orders the Executioners to head to the lower-class house and destroy the monstrosity from being seen by the eyes of the rest of his people. King Vallaris has the belief of those effects happening to the Saiyan woman can be a threat later on down the line. “He can be a cancer to us all!” Ube suddenly starts to get more ill after giving birth, figuring out that whatever her son is, is what was putting her back together. Her body is slowly going back into its original state. Her husband is scared for his life not knowing what to do as she lays there slowly dying in pain.

The Executioners finally arrive and destroy the front of the residence. Yukon, the father of the strange Saiyan is confused as to why they’re being attacked. A member of the Savage Executioners by the name of Galcryi walks up to Yukon explaining that they were ordered to destroy the boy and the rest of the family with an aroused smile on her face. Angered by Galcryi’s explanation and delivery, Yukon charges in to attack, which is futile to Saiyan elites during this point in the story. After countering the man, Galcryi steps on his head and begins to taunt and talk trash about how weak he is while rubbing her body as she looks at the terror in his face. She then summons a chain made of ki and begins to strangle him, enjoying the life slip from his body. The father of the child finally dies. She tells the other Executioners that she’s going to finish the job so they can back off due to her having a delightful time. Walking into Ube’s house Galcryi spots the boy and walks towards him. She’s shocked but it’s also quite intriguing to her. She asks one of the Executioners to take the boy to the palace because she begins to have a thought of what to do with the boy. The Saiyan woman weakly pleads “No, don’t take Satsumo…please”. Galcryi then begins to say, “Oooh? Is there still fight left in you I wonder?” Beside the ill Saiyan, Galcryi observes that she’s close to death and touches Ube’s pointed ears. The Saiyan woman opening her eyes sees an angered Galcryi. Galcryi then says, “It was just getting good, and now you’re going to make this boring for me?!!” Ube begins to slowly widen her eyes, as Galcryi with a raised hand saying, “I’ll have a better time with your son.” Ube is blown to dust. Galcryi orders are all done but one, the Saiyan boy born with unique features. Back in the Palace reporting the deaths of the parents of the child, the king questions the child’s whereabouts as they aren’t mentioned. The other Executioners bring out the Saiyan monkey baby to the throne room. Galcryi suggests the idea of finding more about what the boy is. The King rejects the idea, and orders them to leave him in a ditch outside the kingdom. Galcryi follows orders but angered by the rejection, leaves the child to die. Before departing, she says “It could’ve been fun…”

Episode 1- "Capture" (Placeholder)[]

Satsumo as a baby is left to die in a ditch by his own race. Satsumo being born in his Ancestors Awakening Stage 2 (Mini Monk form) reveals its ability to evolve and adapt to its surroundings kicking in a couple of days after with no food. This form is able to evolve Satsumo faster in hunting shape and slows his aging back down when completed. When the form activates, Satsumo unconsciously rampages looking for food and using the forms heightened sensitivities to find nearby prey or other foods. In the Mini Monk form is body is able to consume harder foods to survive until he returns to his base. After a year, Satsumo stumbles an area seen in Episode 0 (the Saiyan kingdom he originates from), and sneaks inside. He appears to look like his base self and his abilities (adaptability/ copy) react again when seeing other talk to learn basic communication or a few words of language. He does end up causing a commotion due to his distinct appearance, hunting, and taking food from shops to eat. Galcryi is called back to step in to deal with the past monstrosity they saw a year ago. Galcryi is confused as to why he doesn’t look like a monkey and questions if it’s the same kid. She jumps into to stop him and strikes him. He grows pointy ears and clashes with her. Satsumo getting destroyed finally goes back into Mini Monk striking Galcryi in the face and slips away causing her to spill her first blood. She’s annoyed but more interested of how Satsumo’s abilities work. Unfortunately, Satsumo is caught after being chased and chained. Taken to the Saiyan court of Royalty in his Mini Monk form, King Vallaris and Queen Vidalia are astonished of how Satsumo was able to survive. There they disrespect his existence. Galcryi takes a second chance to convince the king and queen to take the boy in her care and study what he is. This request was granted this time around. Satsumo will then have to live his days with no control over his own life, abused, and kill to satisfy this sadistic woman in an underground dungeon.

Episode 2- "Behind Closed Doors" (Placeholder/ Velve First Appearance)[]

Satsumo reacts to his sentence of staying with Galcryi. He is shocked, but Galcryi tries to comfort him by whispering in his ear by saying, "Don't worry I won't hurt you, Earlier, I was just doing my job." King Vallaris excuses Galcryi and Satsumo outside the capital, but Satsumo has to be chained and well covered. When outside the capital gates Galcryi keeps on the robe they put on Satsumo but takes off his chains to build trust. Satsumo is curious what this "dungeon" could be, and when stumbling upon it, he was surprised on how hidden it was, despite it being inside the kingdom. Inside the dungeon, Satsumo is frightened at the dark, bloody area that will be his new home. Galcryi says, "Hey, Hey now! I just like having "work" close to me. Look at the end. You and I will be staying there." Satsumo looks through an interesting large window of the room at the end of the dungeon, and says, "It look...differ", before opening the door. Opening the door of Galcryi's room, a wave of a nice smell enters his nostrils (a perfume like scent). Galcryi says, " Before you do anything, you got to wash up. We're covered in dirt." Satsumo has no idea what a bath is, staying outside since he was born, so he has a confused expression, so he just follows Galcryi to this tublike structure with warm water. Satsumo says, "W-what... do." Galcryi replies, "Get in, Wash, take dirt off, and smell good." (She makes hand gestures to explain what she means.) When he gets in the water, Satsumo freaks out, and starts jumping everywhere. Water is all over the floor, and Galcryi manages to calm him down. She displays that it's ok by moving the water around and rubbing water on her arm and face. Satsumo is convince by her calm demeanor and gets in the water. Galcryi helps scrub him, and Satsumo begins to play with the soap and water with Galcryi. They later go back into the section where Galcryi's bed is. She says to Satsumo, "Jump on the bed, I'll be getting one for you tomorrow. Don't worry it's to rest. Very comfortable. I'll be right there I also have to wash up." Satsumo puts his worries away after a peacful ending after a stressful day, and sleeps. In the morning, Satsumo wakes up and sees Galcryi putting on her armor. Galcryi says, " I got work today. I left some food (while pointing at a table) for you, I'll be back with some more food, and another bed." Satsumo just stares at her close the door in a monkey-like stance. He goes to the table and begins to smell the meat plate. He gives it the ok, and chows down. (He doesn't attempt to exit Galcryi's room being afraid of the other part of her dungeon) At the end of the day, Galcryi enters her room with Satsumo jumping off the bed, running towards her. She lays a mattress by her bed, and she has some meat (from a butcher shop like seen in the DBS: Broly film), and a potato-like food in a bag. Galcryi gets dinner prepared and tells Satsumo to sit as she opens a chair for him. They have dinner together and tells Satsumo that she has a surprise for him. He's yet again confused, and she pulls out wooden toys for him to play with. He gives it the smell test, and even a little bite. Galcryi says, "Here this is how you play, something for you to do when I'm not here," She pets his head while trying to figure out the concept of toys and fun. Satsumo jumps high and flips back. He's startled as he doesn't know what it means to be taken care of. Galcryi is startled but she says, " Easy, it's ok. I was just trying to make you feel safe," It takes some time, but Satsumo approaches her little by little. Galcryi puts Satumo on her lap as he's just hitting these toys together, even throwing one. As time passes, Galcryi has been treating Satsumo well, such as playing with toys more, eating together, swinging him around for laughs, jumping around, making him feel safe, and staying with him when she has no missions for the day, Satsumo begins to build a sense of trust towards Galcryi, and starts to enjoy her company.

Several months after their first encounter, Galcryi serves dinner, but is very quiet. Satsumo is eating but he starts to feel uneasy, feeling a presence of hostility. His eyes start glowing red. He looks up at Galcryi, and she hasn't eaten a single bite of her food. Satsumo asks Galcryi, "What...wro-" Galcryi's fist rushes to Satsumo's face, knocking over their dinner. Satsumo's ears fully enlarge and get pointy as he hits the floor, knocking him unconcious. Several minutes later, Satsumo awakens to him being in a cell in the dark and gory side of the dungeon. He is scared out of his mind and has a questioning expression about what he's doing there. Satsumo looks up seeing Galcryi in ecstasy. Satsumo is shocked questioning where he put his trust. Galcryi amused, "There finally! I finally get to see it! I've waited so long for this! Y-Yeeess!" (Galcryi moving around in a weird, pleasured motion) Satsumo responds by saying, "W-What...you...talking...about?" Galcryi replies, "Shut it dumbass! You can't even speak properly! *laughs*, but if you're so inclined to know..." Galcryi opens up the cell, enters, and closes it behind her. She walks towards Satsumo pulling his pointed ear (same as what he did to his mother Ube in episode 0) She tells Satsumo, " Now that your all ears, listen to this...I actually didn't give a crap about you, but I guess what you are piqued my interest. All those moments that we spent together were nice and fun right? (They both reflect on the time spent together) It was agonizing for me. (In those memories it pays closer attention to Galcryi and thoughts that went through her mind) It shows, Galcryi pushing her fist into the ground making a small crack in the floor when Satsumo jump out of the bath during his first moments in Galcryi's room. While we see those memories, Galcryi informs Satsumo, "I wanted to crush your head into the ground when you sat on my lap while I pet you, I wanted to slam you into the floor when spun you around. I wanted and waited for you to build your trust in me, so I can break it. I want to break you, you hear me. I was supposed to wait a bit longer, but I guess *chuckles*... I couldn't wait anymore. It was so painful. The night you first came in and slept on my bed, I laid there, staring at you sleep for hours, holding back so squeezed my hands together." Galcryi let's go of his ear and kicks Satsumo. Satumo hits the wall, frightened he enter his Ancestor's Awakening Stage 2 (Mini Monk state). He's frozen and full of fear. Galcryi walks towards Satsumo saying, " I want to see more on what those abilities have to offer. I want to see what exactly makes it work." Galcryi kneels down and holds Satsumo to the floor and begins to beat him. As blood flies from Satsumo's face, he sees a quiet smile with pure enjoyment from Galcryi. Steam starts to emerge from his wounds and fogs up the cell. Galcryi backs away from his body. "Well, what is this?" said Galcryi. As the hot fog dissipates, she sees that Satsumo is unconscious but is fully recovered. Galcryi getting more amused and aroused of Satsumo being able to naturally heal himself, she still decides to exit the cell to take note of what just occurred. As she closes the cell, Galcryi says, " This is going to be fun like I said to that pile of ashes a while back (referring to Ube). He's mine now, and I'll take good care of him. I never started at the beginning of someone's life. I get to see someone be in peril from start to finish, and the spotlight is on me!" Galcryi walks off laughing, and you see Satsumo on a stone floor unconscious with the sound of a door closing. The outside of the dungeon door is shown. Satsumo's trust, now shattered.

A few months have passed since Galcryi revealed her true nature to Satsumo. Turning into a year in which Satsumo has stayed with her. During this time, Galcryi has tried different test to see how Satsumo’s powers react. She even tried suddenly scaring him. This made his ears point upward towards the ceiling with a flash of red in his eyes, but the appearance and strong power fades away quickly. Galcryi knows there’s another reserve of power that he has but needs to find a way to actually prove it to herself. Even when she beats him into a pulp or slightly that power fades away quickly (The red eyes stay while Satsumo’s ears are slightly pointed outward, but remain in its original size), but in his monkey form that small boost in power stays. “Maybe it’s by instinct”, Galcryi wonders while walking back and forth in her room. “The little idiot is still very young, so he lacks experience… Ahh… let’s see what King Vallaris thinks about this.” Two months later, Galcryi has a letter from the king granting her permission to take Satsumo off world, but only in her supervision. She is also seen walking through the lower-class section of the Saiyan Kingdom with a supposedly sack of “potatoes”, but Satsumo (Mini Monk) is actually inside to avoid him being seen at all. (In the Saiyan Kingdom each class is split off by the use of large walls and gates. Lower-average warriors aren’t allowed to pass through the upper ranked gates unless they have a pass or permission from/working for royalty. There are Saiyan troops/guards by each gate. The low-class wall is extremely thick and has double gates inside and outside. This area is covered by greenery and blocking sight of an extra door that leads to stairs inside the wall creating a pathway to the underground dungeon where Galcryi stays.) While Satsumo is in the bag, he pops his head out slightly. He sees other Saiyans surprisingly stressed, and being beaten up by another Saiyan that claims to be “above them or an elite warrior”. He sort of understands due to his experience, and his eyes begin to become red. Galcryi gets frustrated and puts his head down while squeezing his skull. “If you keep looking up and don’t mind your business, I swear I will keep punching you when we get back. Galcryi and Satsumo take a space pod and land on a planet close to their own. The planet is named “Arthrosia”(placeholder name) which holds a set of what we know as Arthropods on earth, but different from their Earthly counterparts, though they are still by any means not that clever, but a lot more dangerous. (The universe constantly takes inspiration from itself does it not) The Saiyan space pod lands on a small mountain. Galcryi and Satsumo look around their surroundings.  (The planet looks like a large plain, shady caves and holes within the mountains and the ground, with a few bodies of yellow water that only forms algae that looks like mold for their aquatic creatures.) Satsumo doesn’t really enjoy what he’s seeing but is interested that it’s his first time outside after so long. “Heh, I guess this planet is disgusting for anyone. I brought you here because I want to test your abilities when you're in battle. So, I want you to kill those abominations over there. OK.” Galcryi demands with a smile on her face.  Satsumo looks down the cliff and sees a group of “Praimodites” (placeholder for mantis counterpart) Satsumo replies, “I don..wan…to…I..can’t.” Galcryi then pulls Satsumo’s ear and says, “I HAVE SOMETHING YOU DON’T WANT!” while having her fist up. She puts her fist down and kicks Satsumo off the cliff.

All the way down the mountain Satsumo looks up and is frightened at the Praimodites in front of him. As Satsumo walks back, he mutates once again into his Mini Monk/ Ancestor’s Awakening Stage 2 state. One Praimodite flings its claw at Satsumo, and he jumps over the attack. Satsumo lands on the Praimodite’s claw and flung up into the air. Galcryi begins to laugh while Satsumo falls down from the sky, enjoying the sight of his fear. He lands on its other claw, and the other Praimodites try to gang up on Satsumo, but yet again Satsumo evades them. This causes the alien he was previously on to get its head cut off in the process. “Nice, but if he thinks he can evade them forever, he’s delusional” Galcryi thinks to herself as she watches. Satsumo lands on the ground, but the other Praimodites completely ignore their own kind after their death. Satsumo goes on the run once again, but strangely notices that half of these creatures are missing from the group. During this, the missing Praimodites head underground, digging and cutting their way through the soil. The rumbling underneath the floor causes Satsumo to trip, and these creatures hop out of the ground, while one of them stabs Satsumo through the gut in the process. Satsumo is still alive but is falling unconscious. The hot steam begins to come out of Satsumo’s wound trying it’s best to keep him alive as he hangs from its claw. “There’s my signal. Can’t let the moron die, I need him.” Galcryi jumps off the cliff herself and gets in a fighting stance that exposes her elbow bone blades on her gauntlets. She looks up with a smirk and begins to chuckle. Galcryi begins by charging while twisting doing a 360 spin and kills the first Praimodite in her path by cutting the alien’s head off with her gauntlet bone blades. She then brings out her “Ki-Chain” and pulls the second Praimodite towards her as she charges forward with her gauntlet blades in front of her face (turned sideways) to push her opponent to the floor. Galcryi lands on the alien's chest with her heels crushing it and blows off its head with an energy blast. The next two aliens jump above her, Galcryi looks up, and shoots a blast at one of their arms vaporizing it. She reuses her “Ki-Chain” to pull the Praimodite, slamming it to the ground. The second Praimodite’s attack is evaded, Galcryi slides under its legs and jumps, latching her legs below its head. She slams it to the ground as she uses her hand to push herself up. As Galcryi is above the alien in the air she shoots blasts from her feet, killing the Praimodite by blasting its insides through it’s back. The blasts cause her to do a front flip charge to the alien slammed previously. As she boosts her way there, she blows past the alien as it gets up, kicking it’s head off in the process. Galcryi lands back on the planet’s soil as she slides towards the last 4 aliens standing near Satsumo. “HAHAHA look at the dumbass hanging there, but anyway, that was kind of a fun warm up I guess, not challenging anymore though. Well…TIme to end this.” Galcryi says as she stares at the remaining Praimodites. The Praimodite that has Satsumo latched on to its claw is starting to feel the heat buildup from his wound but can’t get him off. It goes ballistic and tries to cut off its claw in an attempt to cut Satumo in half. “No! That’s one thing I can’t let happen!” Galcryi furiously shouts. She uses more of her power flying at extreme speeds, flying past the other Praimodites before they have a chance to attack. As the Praimodite holding Satsumo is halfway to cutting him up, Galcryi punches her way through its stomach and jumps off a rock jetting back to the Praimodite, grabbing it’s head off, and slamming its head to the ground, obliterating. The Praimodite’s body is collapsing to the floor. As this happens, the last 3 Praimodites attack, but Galcryi somersaults pass the first two attacks, and backflips pass the last attack. Twirls into flight, Galcryi blasts off the arm Satsumo is stuck on and grabs him. She’s levitating with Satsumo in her arms and pulls out the claw from his body. Satsumo begins to bleed out, but the steam shoots out like crazy and slows down as time goes.  When the steam begins to slow down it looks a bit more like a small wound. “I couldn’t take any chances with losing this kid, and he’s piquing my interest a lot more. I thought he was actually going to die. That’s what this dumbass king would have wanted, but I’m glad my fun isn’t over. Still…that was interesting.” Galcryi in relief. Galcryi looks down at the last 3 remaining angrily and blasts them.

It cuts away to Galcryi carrying Satsumo into the pod with her, and places him on her lap. “What the hell… HIs wound has completely faded away?!” Galcryi shocked by Satsumo’s healing factor. Satsumo awakens as they approach their homeworld Planet Verdola. “What... Hap?” Satsumo questions. “What happened? Well, I exterminated them.” Galcryi says with a frightening smile. “I actually got you something”, Galcryi says.She brought one of the claws of the Praimodites that she killed, which frightened Satsumo turning him back into Mini Monk. (She planned for this as she now knows this mutation reacts through extreme fear and stress to get him back in the fruit or vegetable sack, she put him in before the trip.) “I’m kind of getting tired of you sounding like an idiot, so I’ll see what I can do about it.” Galcryi tells Satsumo, causing him to go quiet. When they get off the space pod a Saiyan troop from the royal capital hands Galcryi a sealed letter. “The king asked me to give this to you, please open it when you arrive back home.” The troop informs Galcryi. When Satsumo and Galcryi arrive home, she throws him out of the sack and back into the cell. She says, “You did ok take out one even if it was by accident, but you didn’t complete what I demanded of you. You’ll be getting no food today for it.” Galcryi goes back to her room to eat while Satsumo starves in his cell. Galcryi opens the letter, and King Vallaris is summoning her to meet with him and Queen Vidalia to inform them on the information she’s collected in the past year. The next morning, Satsumo wakes up to a slab of meat on a plate and begins to eat. It cuts away to inside the royal palace where Galcryi walks through the halls on her way to meet the King and Queen. When turning a corner Galcryi bumps into an older woman, and a little girl. Velve pulls Roko's sleeve, and says, “Who’s that? Biology[]

Satsumo’s body reacts differently from other Saiyans. His biology closely relates to that of Ancient Saiyans in the continuity of the Dragon Ball Ikigai story. The state of his mind and body complements each other, which means in a mental state of despair his body will begin to mutate into a closer replica of that of a humanoid Great Ape through stages. Inspired by biology, evolution, and other sources, Ancient Saiyans look more ape-ish naturally, have more raw power, lowered intelligence, and their bodies are naturally pumped with stress and heat. Thanks to being born with similar DNA to Ancient Saiyans, Satsumo is born with different abilities, strengths, and mutation transformations. Satsumo still has traits of Modern Saiyans which is why he doesn’t have fur on his body at all times. Relating to the Great Ape, Satsumo’s eyes are able to turn red and he naturally has brown hair, unlike Modern Saiyans who have black hair. His appearance and biology relate to that of Super Saiyan 4 in Dragon Ball GT and Broly in Dragon Ball Super with many changes split up into stages that need to meet certain requirements to activate the mutation progression. (Super Saiyan 4 does not exist in Dragon Ball Ikigai but there are references to it.)

Satsumo’s ears can morph, becoming pointy if his emotional state becomes too much for him. When in battle and injured, Satsumo’s body will create a healing factor that will release heat from those wounds in order to seal them up. When stressed or when in an excited state the body will begin to warm, feeling the stress physically and mentally which turns into pain and is capable of creating a monster in you. This is the concept of how Satsumo’s body works. As he heals and releases heat, that physical pain will take a toll on his mental state keeping in the stress of the continued damage he takes as his body naturally wants to complete his stages of mutation. His Ancient genetics and his Modern genetics are in constant war against one another, but his ancient genes are a lot stronger and harder to control. Satsumo is also, able to change size depending on how destructive his mental state is. This will activate different types of mutation stages, but he can revert back into his normal state when trying his best to stay calm.

Fighting Style[]

Satsumo’s fighting style consists of a lot of hand-to-hand combat, grabs, counters, and some use of his legs. Satsumo standing up stance is mostly inspired by some traditional boxing stances. Satsumo takes his defense seriously, covering his openings on his body and face. Satsumo is able to predict his opponent’s attacks some of the time during a battle. Satsumo also, moves very smoothly and is greatly skilled in dodging attacks. His ferocious attacks come out mainly in his grabs and counterattacks, pummeling his opponents with greater force after patiently waiting to get the opening. Satsumo’s takedowns are decently good since he likes to fight standing up straight. While using his legs, he does a lot of face and leg kicks, but he would rather punch because legs take longer to hit. Satsumo’s fighting style changes to a more animalistic style depending on what state he’s in.

Ancestor's Awakening Stage 1[]

The first stage of the Ancient Saiyan gene mutation that is given birth by Satsumo through his anger and stress. Multiplying his power ten times from his base in all strength, speed, stamina, and agility. He keeps his base appearance but gains pointy ears, and red eyes. It's activated by a split-second heart attack with his cells multiplying like a cancer. The stage naturally includes a healing factor.

Ancestor's Awakening Stage 2 (Mini Monk)[]

The second stage appeared before any of its previous or next stages during Satsumo's birth before his mother was killed. This form is given a very distinct appearance and multiplier. His power is multiplied by five times in strength, and ten times in his speed, stamina, and agility. This stage let's Satsumo shrink to the size of a monkey, growing a lot of hair, pointy ears, and monkey-like features. The stage is a Fight or Flight modes as his mindset feel small, full off anxiety and stress, wanting to get away from harm. The form has a bonus ability to adapt and evolve when put in a desperate situation (Satsumo starving to death as a baby left in a ditch in Dragon Ball Ikigai Episode 0. It's activated by a split-second heart attack with his cells multiplying like a cancer. The stage naturally includes a healing factor. This stage includes heighten senitivity (hear, smell, etc.)

Ancestor's Awakening Stage 3[]

The third stage begins his muscle mass and height increase when multiplying his strength by one hundred times, while his stamina, speed, and agility are slightly lowered. His hair grows and shoots out near shoulder length, red eyes, and pointy ears. He remains to have a heighten adaptability and copy skill, gains a grotesque animalistic fighting style fused with his own. When mutating to this stage in a high rage and stress state, he has another split-second heart attack, spitting out blood, causing his heat healing ability to aid hi, and his stamina drain slightly faster due to a slightly irregular heartbeat.

Ancestor's Awakening Stage 4[]

The fourth stage of the mutation will remind you of Super Saiyan 4 with how it looks, but rest assured it is not the same. In this stage it gives Satsumo a one thousand times multiplier in strength with a decrease in stamina, speed, and agility. The stage gives him more increased physical growth in height and muscle mass, hair growth at leg length, monkey features, double band red and black eye accents, and longer nails. Heat Healing Factor increased once again. When further mutating to this stage, He is hit with yet another split-second heart attack and causes Satsumo to vomit out blood when his cells are multiplying rapidly. His stamina is drained a bit faster due to an irregular heartbeat. He keeps his heighten sensitivity but his adaptability/ copy skill stat decreases. His intelligence decreases and he has a more animalistic fighting style (long ranged melee attacks). In this stage, Rage, stress, and Anxiety is very high.

Ancestor's Awakening Stage 5 (Full Mutation)[]

The final stage of the mutation looks closest to the original appearance of the Saiyans but this stage needs to be combined with God Ki to be exactly the same as the original. This stage grants Satsumo a ten thousand times multiplier in strength, and a decrease in speed, strength, and stamina. When mutating to this form Satsumo's body bursts open with blood due to his growth and cells multiplying at max speed. His heat healing factor shoots steam all over his body healing him to complete his mutation. His irregular heartbeat remains and decreases his stamina much faster. He has a heighten sensitivity, adaptability/copy skill stat decreases, lowered intelligence, and a more animalistic fighting style with max ranged melee attacks. In this stage he has more height and muscle mass growth, monkey features, lanky physique, claws, bushier hair, hair growth, and change in overall eye color. Satsumo activates the mutation and is kept in a max rage, stress, and anxiety state. His heat healing factor allows him to remain sane in this form.

Scarlet Sling (ver.1)[]

Scarlet Sling is shot by imitating how a normal sling shot looks by making a "Y" with the index and middle finger. The user's palm has to be facing who they're shooting at. The blast is formed between those two fingers while being pulled by the user's other hand to aim and shoot like a sling shot. The accuracy and speed are fairly average, same to its damage power considering that the blast is a quick attack, and it takes a little amount of time to charge.

Scarlet Shot (ver.2)[]

Scarlet Shot is also a quick attack, but it takes a tad bit more time to charge and aim for better accuracy and power. The blast is created by his index and middle finger pointing forward with top of the user's hand facing up. The other hand will be in the same position and pull the blast closer to the user to create a stretch. The blast can be fired in two ways: the first, when stretched towards the user, it can be let go from this point and slap the other end of the blast to be fired. The second, is after the stretch when you have positioned your aim, the user with quickly move his hand back to the other end of the blast, sliding back on his hand to remerge the blast to boost the blast speed.

Super Scarlet Shot (ver.3)[]

Super Scarlet shot is fired in the same was as "Scarlet Shot", but this time the user's hands will be facing sideways to add max accuracy, speed, and damage. This does create a bigger blast. (Sort of like Super Kamehameha)

Scarlet Spiral-head[]

Scarlet Spiral-head is mainly used with the top side of your hand with sparking shards/arrows between the gaps of the pinky finger to the index making 3 shards/arrows made out of energy. These arrows are always fidgeting and twirling when activated. The arrows are then pulled by your other hand on the ends all at once or they are able to be released one by one. To release 4 arrows, you will have to put your hand sideways to align your index finger and thumb. These shard/arrows will pierce the opponent through while spinning them in a "spiral". (These arrows are extremely fast. Depending on an opponent's ability, it will be hard to avoid.)

Bloody Broad head[]

An attack inspired by his worst nightmare Galcryi? (Galcryi's "Ki-Chain") This attack more of a sudden grab but also pierces through their opponent like a grapple. This grapple-like arrow is able to wrap around and pull their opponent to either toss or pull their foe towards the user of the attack to allow them to continue their onslaught. The user would want to be more patient with shooting this arrow out. This arrow is shot out in a similar way to "Scarlet Sling" by making a "Y" with the index and middle finger, but with your palm faced up instead. When it's pulled and released quick by the other hand, the hand that the arrow was shot with will quickly turn over to grab the grapple. The appearance of this attack is a red chained grapple with a wide arrowhead at the tip.
