Ultra Epist ((認識論の極意 Ninshiki-ron no Goku'i, lit. "The Secrets of Epistemology") is a powerful divine transformation manifested by Ruttsu that utilizes the Ultra Epist (ability) and God Ki as its primary source.
Overview[]
Concept and Creation[]
Ultra Epist, both the technique and the form, was created by me, Irish Illustrations. The name "Ultra Epist" was chosen to reflect its origin and status as a high-level divine technique. "Ultra" was used to fit in with the established motif of "Ultra Techniques" and as a derived variant of "Ultra Ego" as well. "Epist," however, was chosen as a simple, Latin-originated root word for knowledge and understanding, elevating the form to more than the application of Ego, but rather the secret behind it.
Ruttsu's hairstyle is based on his "True Base" rather than his Altered Super Saiyan 3 appearance, which many are familiar with. I decided that bringing back this old hairstyle would not only differentiate him more from his Voided God transformation but also align him more with the established Ultra Forms, like Ultra Instinct. The hair color used in this form references the color of the Crown Chakra in Buddhism. This was specifically selected as the Crown Chakra is also known as the Chakra of Knowledge, further emphasizing the foundation of this form's abilities.
Ruttsu attained this form by applying the Principles of Ultra Ego learned from the God of Destruction Beerus and after hearing of Deira and her own iteration of the technique. These two events were the catalyst needed for Ruttsu to begin the creation of Ultra Epist.
Unlike the traditional iteration of Ultra Ego utilized by Gods of Destruction this technique breaks away from the reliance on the power of destruction, blazing a new path to power utilizing Ruttsu's unique Ego. While similar to Deira, this technique doesn't rely on the power of creation either, instead, powered by a more fundamental variant of God Ki that's the foundation of both powers. This energy allows for more versatility in combat, allowing for even greater adaptability.
Appearance[]
Ultra Epist, as a form derived from Ultra Ego, bears a striking resemblance to it, but also shares characteristics with Ruttsu's Voided God transformation. All three forms feature varying shades of purple, with Ultra Epist using a dark indigo as its primary color. Unlike Voided God, this form doesn't maintain the shape of his Altered Super Saiyan 3 state; instead, it more closely mirrors his "True Base" from his childhood. This is only partially accurate, as while it resembles his original base, it's not a perfect match. The hairstyle is a wilder take, most noticeably with the front bangs being longer, thinner, and spaced further apart with an almost wavy quality they didn't have before.
The eyes of this form deviate from what one would expect in a Divine Transformation. While the eye shape and appearance are similar to Ultra Ego, with black pupils and pink irises, the similarities end there. Ruttsu appears to have a green, almost grey, shadow trim around his eyes and over his eyelids, a trait shared only with Super Saiyan 4 or an Eclipsed Saiyan's Iwazaru form. The eyebrows are also quite different, with the ends sharpening to a point, similar to Beast Gohan. However, unlike that form, Ultra Epist elongates the top speir, making it quite prominent.
The aura is dynamic and volatile, cast in a brilliant deep magenta with hints of cyan crystalline structures manifesting spontaneously around Ruttsu. Unlike Ultra Ego this aura dissipates quickly not being manifesting again until called upon.
Usage and Power[]

When activating the Ultra Epist transformation, the user will experience an incredible leap in power, similar to the primary Ultra Techniques, Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego. Ruttsu names this technique Ultra Epist as a counter to Ultra Ego, which draws upon the self-indulgent nature of battle, whereas Ultra Epist feeds off the information obtained in battle. Ultra Epist allows the user's overall power to increase as they take in more information, allowing Ruttsu to revel in the information gained from battle. This display originates from Ruttsu's unshackled Tsufruian curiosity combined with his Saiyan drive for battle. The revelation of his opponent, exposing their true nature and power, excites Ruttsu immensely. This allows Ruttsu not only to stand his ground against powerful individuals but to directly progress and surpass them in strength.
Similar to Ultra Instinct, this transformation is centered around energy efficiency, using no wasted movements, and striking at the most optimal time. By observing his opponent in combat, Ruttsu is able to recognize their weaknesses, such as vital points, pattern openings, and even slight delays in their reactions.
